Science and DT Club
Year 3 and 4 begun this year's Science and DT Club. We decided to make kites, as this is the first one since joining the Kite Academy. It was lots of fun making our kites, discussing what materials would be suitable to help our kites fly best. We learnt about how lift is important to help kites fly. We all ran around the playground to make our kites fly, but there wasn't much wind so they didn't stay up for very long!
Keep an eye out for some of the exciting experiments and projects we undergo this term.
The children in art club did some amazing printing recently!
Last academic year our year 6 class took part in a art pen pal program. AiA 'Art in all of Us' is a non-profit charity that inspires children and promotes global tolerance by getting children all over the world involved in art! The year 6's took part in a pen pal exchange with a year 6 class in Serbia. The were given the title 'An enchanted forest' and were allowed to design and create their own piece of inspired art work that would then be sent on to the Serbian school.
I sent the children's work in the summer term and got an email this week from the class teacher in Serbia to say they received our work and were very impressed! Here are some photos of the Serbian children admiring the artistic talents of our children! Well done to the old year 6's!!
