The National Curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which our teachers plan exciting and stimulating lessons which improve our pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills.
At Wyke, developing the National Curriculum to meet the needs of our children is a shared focus for the whole school community. The children (through the school council) are actively involved in this process.
Alongside the children’s academic and physical development is the promotion of their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. We know that a strong foundation in these areas will support the pupils in upholding the British Values of Democracy, Individual Liberty, The Rule of Law and Mutual Respect for and Tolerance of those with Different Faiths and Beliefs in their future lives.
